Contributing

OpenFolks is MIT-licensed and welcomes focused fixes. Read CONTRIBUTING.md before opening a pull request.

Before you build

• Search open and recently merged issues and pull requests.
• Link overlapping work and coordinate with whoever is already in that area.
• Extend the existing harness, Desk, and engine boundaries instead of adding a parallel system.
• Open an issue before a large cross-platform change.

Local checks

Run the platform-specific package or native tests when your change touches macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, or Cloudflare.

Keep PRs narrow

One concern per pull request is easier to review, test, revert, and release. Large prototypes belong on their own branch. Split them into independently green slices before asking for merge.
